Attack in Moscow: young people, father of four children… who are the four alleged attackers charged with “terrorism” ?

Assailants opened fire on Friday March 22, 2024 with automatic weapons in a concert hall located in the suburbs of Moscow, the Crocus City Hall. The alleged attackers were placed in pre-trial detention this Sunday, March 24.

The attack in a concert hall near Moscow left at least 137 dead, including 3 children, Friday March 22, 2024. The four suspects in the attack claimed by the Islamic State group were presented to a judge on the evening of Sunday March 24 and placed in pre-trial detention.

They face life imprisonment

Indicted for "terrorism", they face life imprisonment, specifies The Item. Three of the four alleged attackers pleaded guilty, reports BFM.

One of these men is from Tajikistan, thirty years old and father of four children, has "pleaded fully guilty", of ;after the two aforementioned media.

Provisional detention, until when ?

Another thirty-year-old also pleaded guilty as well as a 25-year-old man, also from Tajikistan, according to Russian news agencies. The fourth accused arrived in a wheelchair, with his eyes closed, accompanied by doctors, described in particular by BFM.

And the trial?

The pre-trial detention of these four men can continue at least until May 22. The trial, the date of which has not yet been set, will not be public according to the Financial Times.

National Day of Mourning

Russia lowered flags at half-mast on Sunday for a day of national mourning to commemorate the victims of the attack on a concert hall in a Moscow suburb, the attack on deadliest in the country for twenty years. President Vladimir Putin has pledged to track down and punish all perpetrators of the attack.
