According to popular calendar today is the day of Boris and Gleb. People mostly spent the day at home because I was afraid of lightning, because 6 August is usually dominated by stormy weather. Boris and Gleb began the season of gathering of mushrooms, as well as continued work on preparation for winter berries.
Today the world community celebrates two holidays at once: the world day of struggle for prohibition of nuclear weapons and “Physicians for peace”. Last holiday was proposed by the organization “international Physicians for the prevention of nuclear threat” on the anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima on 6 August 1945.
