Automobile: Full cut in Lédenon
|The single-seater field was exceptionally well-stocked. B. M.
In the single-seater race, the 6th round of the Coupe de France des circuits, last weekend at Lédenon, was dominated by Jérémy Clavaud and his Formula Renault Tatuus.
The Coupe de France des circuits negotiated the sixth of its eight stages of the year on the asphalt of Lédenon, last weekend. The weather forecast was atrocious but the expected storm was kind enough to spare the event.
Barely damp on Sunday morning, September 22, the famous “toboggan” quickly dried under the battering of the Mistral. Following on from the two races of the day before, fifteen other starts followed one another without a hitch under the gaze of a public graciously invited to the event.
A Tatuus chartered by the Stac team of Alésien Laurent Daumet
Of these countless confrontations, we were primarily looking out for those featuring single-seaters. By far the most frequented plateau with almost fifty Formula Renault and Formula Ford and some real big names capable of extracting the quintessence from them.
Among them, Jérémy Clavaud left no chance to the regulars of the Coupe de France by dominating the two races at the wheel of a Formula Renault Tatuus chartered by the Stac team of the Alésien Laurent Daumet. A faultless performance for this driver who had just distinguished himself this summer on the Italian circuit of Mugello.
The feats of Adeline Prudent
At the wheel of a similar single-seater, the member of the local Asa Adeline Prudent also multiplied the feats by closing her two races on the podium. Enough to allow the young Stéphanoise to consolidate her second place in the general classification of the Coupe de France.
Other Asa Lédenon licensees also stood out. Avignon native Antoine Miramand, winner of the first race in Group A, achieved another podium finish in the second, still aboard his Clio 4 Cup. A victory also recognized the efforts of Jacques Caumes, crowned on one of the GT/N group meetings at the wheel of his Porsche 997 GT3.
The triumph of the Wolf Thunder
There was also material to make the local colors shine on the Sports-Prototypes grid in the presence of several Wolf Thunder brought from their workshop at the Pôle mécanique d’Alès.
At this level, the second race turned into a real triumph for them with the hat-trick achieved by their users: the Belgian Arthur Rasse, Oscar Arcila and Théo Navarro.
Finally, outside the Coupe de France, two other men left their mark this Sunday: Franck Quagliozzi from Mâcon, double winner of the HTCC with his Honda Civic, and Patrick Provence from Pau, crowned in three of the five races of the very lively Twin Cup.
