Laurent Lugardon and David Michel played the hosts in the Sport category, each claiming a victory, the first Saturday at the Pininque slalom, the second Sunday at the Lédenon slalom.
The third edition of the Pininque and Lédenon automobile slaloms, contested on Saturday 16 and Sunday March 17 on circuit number 2 of Lédenon, experienced a franc success.
If the pilots from our region had not all responded, the field made up of stars coming from the Rhône-Alpes region, mainly, was particularly strong and the games which followed one another throughout this weekend were kept all their promises with two winners who had already marked their ground in the past.
Ten sprints in two days
"We were able to successfully complete the practice and race rounds, which made a total of ten sprints contested in two days, specifies Yvon Journaux, the organizer , president of ASA Cigaloise, still at work since the 80s. The quality was there which reassures us in the organization of this type of basic tests, in parallel with our rallies and hill climbs."
As expected, Toulouse native Laurent Lugardon and David Michel played the role of hosts in the Sport category, each claiming a victory.
Laurent Lugardon won without a shot on Saturday, finishing in the lead during the three rounds of racing at the wheel of his Dallara 303. David Fierro (Dallara F 311) took the second step of the podium.
Unlike two years ago, Lugardon did not manage to achieve a double victory, being beaten on Sunday by David Michel (Dallara 392), who had already won in 2023.
The great resistance of Bidaud and Ott
Behind these single-seaters, the motorcycle-powered prototypes more than resisted, notably Sylvain Bidaud (Silvercar S3) and Mickaël Ott (Tracking RC 01) who were in third and fourth positions on Saturday and Sunday, but in reverse order.
Cross-and-cross between Hérold and Gal in the closed car category
In the closed car category, the fight was clear in a much less upscale concert. The Toulonnais Vincent Hérold (106) signed the victory on Saturday with three hundredths ahead of Julien Gal and his 205 GTI. On Sunday, the order was reversed for three tenths!
