Bad news for the Canucks
|BET À DAY
The Vancouver Canucks will at least be without the services of their right-hand man between the posts, Thatcher Demko, until New Years.
We don't does not know the exact nature of the injury of the 26-year-old goalkeeper, who is bothered by a problem in the lower body. According to Sportsnet, however, Demko avoided the worst-case scenario and is expected to be sidelined for approximately six weeks.
The Californian was forced out of Thursday's fixture Canucks against the Florida Panthers. In the first period, allowing a third goal in less than a minute, Demko hurt himself during a trip and had to forfeit.
Like the formation of Vancouver, the former 2014 second-round pick is off to a rocky start to the season. He maintained a save percentage of .883 and a goals-against average of 3.93, in addition to winning only three of his 15 games.
The Canucks will have to rely on the tandem of Spencer Martin and Collin Delia. They will play their next game on Saturday, when they host the Arizona Coyotes.
