Rising water levels are mainly expected on the Nied in Moselle and the Vezouze in Meurthe-et-Moselle. "The exceptional rains observed caused a rapid rise in all the watercourses of the Nieds watershed. On the French Nied (Ancerville and Condé Northen), the moderate reaction will continue to increase this Saturday", indicates Vigicrues.

The situation is not expected to improve during the day tomorrow since unstable weather is forecast for Sunday. "Conditions remain stormy over most of the country. Thunderstorms may cause significant amounts of rain locally in one to two hours. On the Nied Allemande (Faulquemont and Varize), the exceptional reaction will continue on Saturday and Sunday", warns the weather station.
"It’has never been so intense"
At the start of the day, the images of water rushing down the streets in certain towns in Moselle were impressive. Valérie, a resident of the commune of Boulay Moselle testifies to  ;7sur7 : "In 20 years, I’ve never seen that, that& rsquo;has never been so intense here", confirms Valérie Henrion, worried about the forecast: "They are forecasting rain for several days, so it's not going to stop anytime soon", she explains.
