Banned from grocery store for stealing $16,800 worth of food, including 30 steaks

An English thief, who allegedly got caught in her grocery bag, has been banned from a chain after allegedly stealing more than $16,800 worth of food, including a “colossal amount of expensive meat”, according to the crown prosecutor.  

“Enough is enough,” prosecutor Mark Farrell said on Wednesday, opposing the parole of Englishwoman Beverly McNeilly, according to what has local media 'Belfast Telegraph' reported. 

The 43-year-old woman from Belfast was in court for allegedly stealing more than £10,000 – more than $16,800 – in groceries at the Marks & Spencer. 

She is accused of having stolen, on five occasions between January and May, a significant amount of food from the chain known for its high value products.
