New York | The former american president, Barack Obama will be the guest of the first episode of the new podcast from Michelle Obama, announced on Friday that the ex-First lady on Twitter, before the launch of the programme, on 29 July.
For what is presented as his first season, The Michelle Obama Podcast, released exclusively on Spotify, will consist of a series of interviews between the former First lady and her relatives, with one guest per episode.
The podcast is produced by the company, founded in 2018 by the couple Obama’s, Higher Ground, which has partnerships with Spotify, but also Netflix.
“For the first episode, I’m going to discuss with someone with whom you’ll recognize probably the voice instantly,” says Michelle Obama, in the trailer of the show.
Obama will talk about, without surprise, the pandemic of sars coronavirus and the protest movement born after the death of George Floyd, according to the specialized site Variety, who could listen to a part of the episode.
Barack Obama has been invited to podcasts, most recently in 2017 in Pod Save America, where he had been interviewed by his old feathers, the people who helped him write his speech.
Already very popular, Michelle Obama caused a sensation with his book Becoming published in November 2018, and has sold over 11.5 million copies in the world.
The output of the work has been accompanied by a series of conferences that have brought together tens of thousands of people in several countries, as well as a documentary, put online on Netflix in may.
