Based in Agde for three years, the “V and B” team is also looking towards the hinterland, with the opening of a store in Clermont-L’Hérault
Here is a brand that has a bright future ahead of it. And if on the Cap d'Agde side, the crying office has its regulars at the start of each somewhat timid tourist season, fortunately there are traders open all year round who assume their success!
One of the rare festive places in Agde
Damien Guitard and Nicolas Roziers have been presiding over the destiny of V and B for three years now. A post-covid launch that is really not easy, but a concept, that of “afterwork”, understand the two or three hours after leaving work, which has found its clientele. “Let's just say we're on track with the plan we set for ourselves”, Damien admits without boasting. He won't hold it against us for doing it for him: in Agde today, the V and B is almost the only establishment where you can have fun. Blind test fully booked on Tuesday, weekend party on Friday, not to mention the two major events that are the music festival and the store's anniversary in September, the address is unmissable.
Partnerships with clubs, associations…
A commercial activity supplemented on the ground by partnerships established with local associations, sports or not.“We work with rugby in Agde and Marseillan, football in Saint-Thibéry, handball in Agde, basketball, but also the festival committees of Balaruc and Villeveyrac”, lists Damien Guitard. “We provide the equipment (beer pump, bar, etc.) free of charge and customers pay a good price for the barrels. There's something for everyone."
Jules Vincent at the controls
A territorial anchoring that will be accentuated in the coming weeks. Damien and Nicolas have in fact joined forces with Jules Vincent, the regular host of the blind test evenings in Agde, to open a second V and B in Clermont-l’Hérault, in the Tanes Basses commercial area, directly at the motorway exit. A project that was in the pipeline from the beginning, if we are to believe Damien Guitard: “That was the plan, in fact. Jules, who is the store manager, is from Bordeaux like us and we had the idea of installing him as manager of a second store. We were aiming for a more rural area, such as the area around Pézenas and Clermont l’Hérault."
The target: companies in the sector
After searching quite a bit, the three partners set their sights on the former premises of the Yesss Électrique company. "We took possession of it last spring, before starting the development work." A slightly larger surface area than in Agde, with a large mezzanine that could be used for the event. The guideline is the same. “Our target remains the employees of companies who work in companies in the area”, recalls the entrepreneur, who has already taken some steps to make himself known to as many people as possible.
On the shelves, it's the same story, even if on the wine side – almost half of the turnover in the Agde store – we don’t rule out going to find a few new gems, many of which are around Salagou and Gignac. “We are also going to work with a local brewer (La Pinte héraultaise, a producer that we were able to discover at the Grande Brasserie in Cap d’Agde, Editor’s note) “, adds Damien who, with his acolytes, hopes to open in November, perhaps on the occasion of the Beaujolais nouveau. Four permanent jobs will be created on the V and B of Clermont-l’Hérault, a sign of a displayed but reasonable ambition.
