Greece expels two Russian diplomats on charges of sponsoring protest groups opposed to the agreement with neighboring Macedonia, which should remove the obstacle to its accession to the EU. It is reported by the European truth.
The decision was announced the next day after NATO officially invited Macedonia to join the military Alliance to the successful completion of renaming the country.
“We want to have good relations with most countries, not only neighboring… But we demand that all countries respect our international legitimacy and national sovereignty”, — commented on the expulsion of the Prime Minister of Greece Alexis Tsipras.
According to media reports, the Russian authorities have been given until Friday to take out two diplomats from Greece.
Also Greece has blocked the entry of some other Russian officials.
We will remind, the United States approved the actions of Greece and called on Russia “to cease its destabilizing behavior.”
