Béziers affected by major work carried out by SNCF network

La ligne de l’Aubrac entre Béziers et Neussargues et l’axe littoral Narbonne-Avignon seront coupés à partir des 6 et 8 mai. 

The bridges and the months of May and June, which precede summer, are often the time chosen to work on the railway tracks. During this period, Béziers will be affected in two ways.
First on the busy section between Avignon and Narbonne, including engineering work at Béziers station. As a result, rail traffic will be temporarily and partially interrupted from May 8, 6:00 p.m. to May 12, 10:00 a.m. and from May 18, 7:40 a.m. to May 20, 12:40 p.m. Replacement coaches will be put in place.
The other axis concerned is that of the Aubrac line between Béziers and Neussargues. As part of the Occitanie Rail Plan, SNCF Réseau will carry out major modernization operations there, over eight long weeks, for an amount of 6.9 million euros. This includes renewing track components (rails, sleepers and ballast), regenerating hydraulic structures, and securing rocky slopes. Rail traffic will therefore be interrupted between Béziers and Le Monastier, from May 6 to June 28, 2024, in order to guarantee the safety of staff and travelers. Substitute coaches will also be available during the work.
