On March 2, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Béziers boxer Jaouad Belmehdi will face Ghanaian Alfred Lamptey, an undefeated boxer in 13 fights.

Jaouad Belmehdi tackles a real rock. On March 2 in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, the Biterrois will face Alfred Lamptey. This Ghanaian boxer is a particularly tough opponent who hits very hard. As proof, his track record: in professional rings, he competed in 13 fights. He won them all, but above all, he won nine before the limit…  Aged 21, he turned professional in 2020 and since then, he has enjoyed wreaking havoc. He raised his arms during his last duel after only 2' 59''. In his weight category (super feather), he is ranked number one in his country.

Hit hard

Not enough, however, to impress Jaouad Belmehdi who was contacted by his former manager to compete in this fight in a country which intends to make a place in the sun for the noble art. The Moroccan Bomber, who has the answer when it comes to hitting hard (out of his 19 victories, he has also won nine times by knockout), knows that this duel can open big doors for him. If successful, he would indeed climb the world rankings. He would enter the top 40. Rudy Ruiz's colt won his last duel by abandoning his Argentine opponent at the restart of the sixth round. The category of this fight will therefore be "super feather", i.e. between 57.152 kg and 58.967 kg. However, with no belt at stake, the two boxers agreed to box at 60 kg. This will allow them to be preserved somewhat for future deadlines. Jaouad Belmehdi and his coach will join the United Arab Emirates on February 27. On March 2, the fight will be broadcast live on the DAZN streaming channel.
