MONTREAL – biodome of Montreal, to defer its opening for a third time: the museum complex will not open in the summer for those who wished to take advantage of the holiday to visit the website.
“The works are progressing well”, however, has indicated by email Marie-Joëlle Filion, communications arm of Space for life, in spite of the confinement in the spring because of the pandemic of COVID-19.
Mrs. Filion was assured that a formal announcement will be made at the end of the month of August, for an opening date, but for now, the holiday makers will not be able to visit the exotic animals.
Remember that biodome is closed from April 2018 for major work. Its reopening is pending since more than a year now, so she has to be postponed for a third time.
The return of the visitors was initially scheduled for the summer of 2019, but has been postponed in December 2019, after the discoveries had been made during the demolition work.
Then, the opening of the museum complex has been shifted to the spring of 2020 after the Group Unigesco had encountered a problem of supply of some materials and a lack of manpower.
