On her way to the maternity ward, a 26-year-old young woman gave birth this Thursday, February 1, in her car after being blocked by farmers' demonstrations in Brittany. 

She was on her way to the maternity ward in Quimper (Finistère) this Thursday February 1st but did not arrive in time to give birth: stuck in traffic jams caused by the demonstrations. angry farmers, a young woman of 26 gave birth in the car, reports Ouest France.

"I asked Julien (his companion, editor's note) to move my passenger seat back, I got into position as best I could and I’ ;nbsp;gave birth in the car (…) I was a little scared at the end, because the umbilical cord was wrapped around his head and he didn't cry straight away because he had difficulty breathing. I spread the cord a little to help her breathe, says the young mother.

The baby was named Nolan, and was able to be taken care of at the Quimper maternity ward where he was welcomed as the first baby of the month of February, born around 8:15 a.m. His mother also was able to receive the necessary care.
