BMX: Anthony Jeanjean crowned European vice-champion in Switzerland, Laury Perez in the top 10

Several weeks after his bronze medal obtained at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in BMX Freestyle, Anthony Jeanjean was crowned European vice-champion in Cadenazzo (Switzerland) on Saturday September 21, while Laury Perez finished in sixth place.
Three-time European champion in the discipline (2019, 2021, 2022), Anthony Jeanjean kept his silver medal won at the 2023 European Games. Bronze at the Paris Olympic Games, the Sérignan native once again took second place at the European Championships in Cadenazzo, Switzerland.

The Hérault native was nevertheless in the lead in the final after his first run and a score of 92.63 given by the judges. Before the British Darren Reilly, second at the Paris Olympics, did better in the second round with a score of 93.23, Jeanjean only obtaining a score of 90.01. The other Frenchman, Kevin Fabregue, finished seventh (83.73).
Five-time reigning French champion, Laury Perez from Sérignan took sixth place in the women's final with a score of 80.33 while the podium was decided at 83.16. Ninth at the last Games on the Place de la Concorde, Perez was still on a bronze medal at the 2023 European Games.
