Boycott operation at Carrefour de Lattes and demonstration in Montpellier for a ceasefire in Palestine

Ce samedi 6 janvier, plusieurs actions ont été menées par le collectif BDS.

"Carrefour must apologize to the Palestinians". This Saturday in Lattes, around thirty members of the BDS (boycott divestment sanctions) collective went to Carrefour to demonstrate within the shopping center itself. "The group is complicit because they decided to provide free food packages to the Israeli army", a member of the collective proclaims on the microphone.

Interpellation of a demonstrator

An action which somewhat surprised the customers who came to do their shopping in the supermarket. "I thought it was employees on strike,” explains one of them. When we explain the action to her, the latter says weary:   "I don't really understand why come here. Maybe Carrefour also gives parcels to Palestinians after all. In any case, this war just has to stop.

At the end of this action, a demonstrator was arrested by the police following an altercation with a security guard. He was taken into custody. The collective then met at 5 p.m., this time on the Place de la Comédie, bringing together nearly 200 people. Always with the same slogan: a ceasefire in Palestine.
