Attaques de loups : les éleveurs remontés

#LOZERE Since the beginning of the year, around forty wolf attacks have been recorded, according to figures given by the Lozère prefect at the end of the Large Predators Committee on Wednesday. It therefore appears that the pressure of wolves on the department's herds is still as strong.

On 6 July, a herd was targeted in Laval-du-Tarn. Around thirty sheep were injured, several others killed. The Lozère Rural Coordination was present in front of the room where the Large Predators Committee met. For the CR48, the psychological harm following a wolf attack must be recognised. It is also calling for administrative flexibility to protect livestock.

The Young Farmers and the FDSEA also presented their grievances. One of them is none other than “the elimination of the feeding pack installed”  on Mount Lozère. “The law does not allow it”, the prefect replied.

A kitty for the dam

He had boarded a bus from Murcia in Spain to Marseille and allegedly tried to present false identity documents, without fooling the officials. They immediately arrested him and made him give his real name. Thus discovering that the young man, originally from Villepinte (Seine-Saint-Denis) was the subject of several search files.

#GARD For twenty years, the traditional national tarot festival has been held in Alès. This year, the meeting is scheduled for August 2, 3 and 4 at the Vegas hall, on the banks of the Gardon. Between 700 and 800 participants are expected.
