British soldier brought to justice for fake bomb

A 21-year-old member of the British army was brought to justice in London on Saturday, accused of planting a fake bomb on an air force base and terrorist offence.
Daniel Abed Khalife, 21, was charged on Friday with charges dating back to January and August 2021, at a Royal Air Force base in Strafford, in the presented at Westminster Magistrates Court on Saturday, he is accused of having obtained or attempted to obtain information “about an individual who was or has been a member from the British Army “likely to serve a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism” in August 2021.
He is also being prosecuted for a false bomb threat, accused of having “placed an object with the intention of making another person believe that said object was likely to explode”, on January 2.
He is accused of having placed “three cans with sons” on the base.
At the hearing on Saturday, he simply confirmed his identity, before being kept in detention until the next hearing, scheduled for February 3.< /p>
