Bruins: Patrice Bergeron expected to play Wednesday

BETTING À DAY

Boston Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron indicated Tuesday that he plans to play Game 5 of the first-round series against the Florida Panthers on Wednesday at TD Garden.

The veteran took part in the day's training and believes he has overcome the obstacles that have prevented him from taking part in the confrontation so far. Injured in the upper body according to the statements of the organization, Bergeron left prematurely the last confrontation of the regular season, on April 13 against the Montreal Canadiens.

“I felt good and we'll see how I feel tomorrow. I don't expect a relapse,” he told the media.

Despite his absence, the Bruins took a 3-1 series lead that they could win on their next outing.

In addition, David Krejci (upper body) skated, but did not submit to activities with his teammates, so he will be missing Wednesday.

“He is progressing well, but he remains unavailable,” confirmed head coach Jim Montgomery, not ruling out a presence at the sixth game, Saturday, if this one is necessary.
