BTS : 4 concerts cancelled in south Korea due to the Coronavirus
Bad news for fans of BTS : the stars of K-pop have announced on Friday 28 February 2020 the cancellation of 4 concerts giant planned in April 2020 in Seoul, due to the coronavirus. The number of cases has surpassed the 2.000 victims in South Korea…
While the coronavirus continues to grow outside of China, more than 4,000 cases have been reported in some fifty countries, with a peak in south Korea. And because, more than 2,000 cases of the disease have been confirmed, forcing the authorities to take precautions in an emergency… but also BTS ! The group of K-pop made up of Jungkook, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin and V announced this Friday 28 February 2020 the cancellation of 4 concerts he had to give in Seoul to promote her latest album, “Map of the Soul: 7”. They were scheduled between 11 and 19 April at the olympic Stadium, and had to gather more than 200,000 people.
4 gigs of BTS cancelled in south Korea due to the coronavirus “We regret to announce” the cancellation of the concerts in Seoul, said in a press release and Big Hit Entertainment. The agency for the management of the group BTS has explained that the cancellation was “unavoidable” because it is “impossible at this stage to predict the magnitude of the epidemic”. Big Hit added : “We need to take into account the health and safety of hundreds of thousands of spectators and artists”. If fans are saddened by this decision, they understand it also. Some have even donated their rebates of concert tickets for a association to defeat the coronavirus in Korea.
Several other cultural and sports events were cancelled or postponed in South Korea, among which some matches of the football national championship or even the World table tennis teams.
