Sydom Aveyron is organizing a new competition for students in CE2, CM1 and CM2 classes in public and private primary schools in Aveyron. Teachers and their students are invited to build a model of the sorting center using materials and construction games of their choice. This competition complements the module on the environment and recycling covered in the school curriculum and helps to raise awareness among students of the importance of sorting in a fun and creative way.
10 classes will be pre-selected and five will be winners
At the same time, in order to better understand how the sorting center works and thus propose the best model, Sydom offers participating classes a visit to Ecotri, the Departmental sorting center for packaging and paper. Among the participating classes, 10 will be pre-selected by a vote on the union's Facebook page and the 5 winners will be decided by a draw conducted by elected officials.
Registrations before Monday, November 4
The Sydom will give each winning class the sum of 500 euros to finance a school project. The photographs of the creations of the 5 winning classes will be exhibited at the sorting center in a dedicated room. For establishments wishing to participate, registrations are open until Monday, November 4, 2024. The model must be submitted before March 21, 2025.
