Organized by the Goudargues merchants' association (ACDG), it is experiencing growing success , also on the public side.< em> "Eating local is part of the customs", confides Virginie Bruguier, of Fleurs d’arTisane. She is delighted to be present for the third consecutive year with her preparations (cosmetics, syrups…) based on aromatic and medicinal plants that she cultivates in Saint-Gervais. "What a good atmosphere with the locals, the vacationers. We feel pampered here."
"It’is really very nice"
Laurent and Aurélie arrive for the first time from Saint-Ambroix, with their stand "Le crochet de Lili". They sell products that Aurélie makes in crochet (bags, clothes, stuffed animals), and candlesticks, knives "C& ;rsquo;is really very pleasant here, comparable to the markets of Barjac and Uzès", testifies Laurent, also delighted. He met Thibaud, from the Belle des Lières de Cornillon wine estate, who founded Papa Ours, a craft brewery. "This is the last market that I kept because we are growing a lot with beer, explains the winemaker and brewer who is feels at home in Goudargues. At the very beginning, around ten years ago, there were five exhibitors. At first, it didn't work. This has gained momentum in recent years." There are now some thirty-five diverse and varied exhibitors from producers and creators, surrounding the fountain of the Place des Sources, all to music.

There are the fruit juice producers of Earl Bel de Goudargues, the metal sculptures of Joris Loye, the artisanal liqueurs of L’Harmonieux, fabric creations for zero waste and for all tastes , stands of confectionery and jewelry, including those from the Atelier by TDF in Bagnols, pieces of finesse and softness, as well as graceful wooden objects from Paul, based in Saint-Christol-de-Rodières. And books! Uzétien, AL Martin is the author of thrillers and a medieval saga. His works are all there, on a stall. He investigated for ten years the history of the cursed bread of Pont-Saint-Esprit "to see what was behind the news item" and develops his hypothesis in a detective novel, Le pain noir. "JI do not claim to solve the mystery but I bring a probable theory , he says. For Murder at the foot of the Pont du Gard, 5 000 copies have already found readerss. "This is where I sell best. I've been coming for seven years." A few steps away, the flavors of the Camargue are on display with a producer of saffron and derivatives. Christine offers her artisanal soy wax candles. "Here, we help each other, this is not the case everywhere!", indicates the designer of Saint-Laurent-de-Carnols. Next Friday, July 26, the market will take place at the same time as the inauguration of the La Goud’Vibe street arts festival, with a musical circus show (at 7 p.m. ) and two concerts.

In Pont-Saint-Esprit, Salazac… other evening meetings
Other summer night markets take place in the area.
