Canadian: a duel against the Devils, the team of the hour

UPGRADE DAY

The Montreal Canadiens may have won their last three games, but tonight they face the New Jersey Devils, who are undefeated in their most recent nine games.

As surprising as it may seem, the Devils are in first place in the Metropolitan Division standings with 24 points.

And there was nothing to predict that. Indeed, the Devils were 3-3-0 heading into their winning streak.

With Jesper Bratt, Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier, the Devils offense is in good shape. hands, but it is defensively that the team is most effective, with only 38 goals against since the start of the season.

In the Eastern Conference, only the Boston Bruins (35) are doing better.

Things aren't so bad with the Habs either, as the team surprises, especially with their three straight wins, including the most recent against at the Pittsburgh Penguins, last Saturday.

The trio of Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki and Kirby Dach sparks, while Samuel Montembeault and Jake Allen are still solid in net.

Allen should be in goal for CH. He should be pitted against Akira Schmid.
