Canadian: a suspension for Josh Anderson?

Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson may be suspended for hitting Alex Pietrangelo after the National Hockey League (NHL) Department of Player Safety demanded an explanation.

Anderson hit Pietrangelo hard from behind midway through the third period in a game the Vegas Golden Knights won 6-4. Saturday at the Bell Center. He received a five-minute penalty for giving boards, in addition to a 10-minute game misconduct.

Anderson, who has been shut out in his last three outings, collected three goals and five points in 12 games this season.

Tkachuk too

Anderson isn't the only player who might be forced to watch a few games platforms. Matthew Tkachuk of the Florida Panthers could also be suspended for a high batting at the expense of Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick.

The incident, also in the third period, was the origin of the breaststroke-comrade at the end of the meeting. The former Calgary Flames appeared to insert the end of his stick into an opening in Quick's face shield. The latter also reacted strongly when the game was stopped.

Tkachuk was the only player punished, adding 15 min penalty to his counter. The Kings eventually won 5-4.
