The Dragon 48 in Grimp version (reconnaissance and intervention group in perilous environments) intervened in the Tapoul gorges, in the commune of Rousses, this Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 1:50 p.m. A 15-year-old boy injured his knee after landing badly during a jump into the water while canyoning. He was airlifted and then taken to the hospital in Mende.

A malaise in the Chassezac gorges

A little later, at 5:15 p.m., a new canyoning incident took place, this time in the east of the department, in the Chassezac gorges, in the commune of Prévenchères. A 29-year-old woman became ill and, exhausted, was unable to complete the route she had undertaken in the gorges. The Dragon 48 in Grimp version was mobilized to get the victim out of this situation. She was not evacuated to a hospital, her health having improved with the help of emergency services.
