CASA: Emilie Cerretti and her spouse present “Behind the scenes”

CASA: Emilie Cerretti and her spouse present «Behind the scenes&raquo ;

Associated at work as at home, designer Emilie Cerretti and her jack-of-all-trades spouse Stéphane Larente open the doors of their daily lives and lift the veil on “Behind the scenes”.

Worthy of its name, the docu-reality developed by the couple, with Trio Orange, is interested in the underside of design projects, with the aim of showing everything that decoration shows usually omit, and with the concern of showing the “reality” that surrounds this type of project.

“Decoration programs are often distorted,” the designer told Agence QMI. We always see only the best moments of a project that can take place over several weeks. We only show 20 minutes of a project on TV that lasts for weeks and weeks, and which does not always go well,” she continued.

“Behind the Scenes” will therefore follow the couple in the evolution of five of their projects, with real clients, as they present themselves, with the constraints, the glitches and the successes. “We're going to experience the problems and we're going to find the solutions,” said the designer.

“The idea is really to make people experience the good and less good sides of the daily life of a entrepreneur, a client and a designer”, added Stéphane Larente, in particular with the lack of manpower, equipment and availability.

The show will also be an opportunity for the couple to present their full team, which generally remains behind the curtain. “We will see our employees and through all of this we will also see personal life, at the chalet, at home in blended family life,” said Emilie Cerretti.

The couple have five elderly daughters from 11 to 20 years old and everyone lives together in the same house, every other week.

Apart from the shyness of some members when the cameras arrived, the couple, who had just started filming when they spoke with the QMI Agency, showed themselves ready and excited to embark on this new adventure.

“We are really going to live it day by day. There will be setbacks, sometimes customers will change their minds at the last minute, that's also what we want to show, “said Stéphane Larente, adding that every day is a surprise, that whether or not there are cameras.

“Decoration of stars”: a column in the “7 Days”

From September, the duo will have their monthly column in the magazine “7 Jours”, entitled “Déco de stars”.

As part of the latter, the couple will go to a public figure to raise their the good moves and the less interesting ideas or the errors of layout, or of proportion of its decoration, of the type a rug too small or a frame too big for the space. Everything will be done with humor and will allow you to provide advice at the same time.

The first column will feature the decoration of Joël Legendre with whom the designator had co-hosted the program “Open, you never know “, on Canal Vie, from 2017.

“Behind the scenes” will be on CASA from next spring. In the meantime, Emilie Cerretti will continue to write for the magazine “Les idées de ma maison”, in addition to continuing her columns for “Salut bonjour” and “Salut bonjour week-end”, on TVA. The “Star decoration” section will be published in the “7 Jours” from September.
