MINNEAPOLIS – The wife of Derek Chauvin, the police officer of Minneapolis involved in the death of George Floyd, would have filed for divorce.
The lawyers of Kellie Chauvin said she asked for the “dissolution of marriage” with Chuavin, reported Saturday the “New York Post”.
In a statement read in his name and his family, Kellie Chauvin said to be “devastated by the death of Mr. Floyd”.
According to the newspaper new york, the couple has no children from his marriage.
Charged Friday, the now-former police officer Derek Chauvin faces charges of involuntary manslaughter.
