Notably indicted for fraud and concealment of embezzlement by a person holding public authority, Sophia Martinez, clairvoyant and medium, admitted to having manipulated the mayor of Agde (Hérault). Her lawyer, Me Abratkiewicz, points out that she is unknown to the courts, that she has admitted everything and will ask for her release on Tuesday.
Placed in pre-trial detention on March 21 in Nîmes, Sophia Martinez was indicted by a Béziers investigating judge for fraud, concealment of embezzlement by a person holding public authority, concealment of corruption, and concealed work. But as soon as she was incarcerated, she asked to be released.
"She appealed her detention on her own and she never, at any time, wanted to withdraw" tells us her lawyer Mr. Luc Abratkiewicz after contradictory information has circulated.
"Unfortunately, some people wanted to pressure her to withdraw her appeal and not keep me as her lawyer.
Surveyed Thursday April 3 by the investigating chamber, she confirmed her request which will be examined Tuesday April 9.
"She regrets the facts"
For her defender, she has nothing to do in prison: "she recognizes the facts, she explained herself at length , there is no discussion on responsibility, no risk of pressure on the investigation, she regrets the facts, she is the mother of six children and she has very serious representation guarantees" .
Me Abratkiewicz recalls that the notion of disturbing public order does not apply and is not expressed for the time being in the course of her client’ nbsp;: "what is regrettable is that she appears in the eyes of public opinion to be a witch even though she is a woman who has never been talked about and her gift belongs to her.
