Cévennes, success of the 13th Génolhac wool day

All day Saturday, August 10, the public was able to discover the different uses and virtues of wool.
The 13th wool day held in Génolhac this Saturday was well attended. The event took advantage of the popularity of the farmers' market held nearby on Place des Ayres. On the program, workshops all day long with sheep shearing, spinning, making berets and wool lace as well as a country meal and a conference by Marie-Thérèse Chaupin on the use of wool as a sustainable material. The public was able to parade among several dozen stands among which a troop in disguise wandered to take part in the entertainment. Children and adults were also able to be dazzled by the magic tricks of Magic Christine, the magician of the mountains.
