CF Montreal: a coach leaves the Academy< /p> UPDATE DAY

The head coach of the CF Montreal under-23 team, Nicolas Gagnon, will not be back in his role. 

This is what the Montreal club announced on Monday. Gagnon led the Academy team in the Premier League of Soccer of Quebec (PLSQ) in 2022. CF Montreal U23 finished the season ranked sixth in the standings, with a record of 12-8-2 and 38 points.

“I want to thank the club for the opportunity I had all these years,” Gagnon said in a team statement. This leads me to take a different path and I am grateful for the confidence the club has shown in me during my career.”

Gagnon had worked in the organization for 10 years. He was also the driver for the Academy's under-17 team.

“I would like to thank Nicolas for more than 10 years at the club. He has certainly contributed to developing local talent and the next generation of the organization, declared the director of the Academy, Marinos Papageorgopoulos. We wish him the best of luck for the rest of his career.”
