CF Montreal: Samuel Piette, the only captain on board

Quebecer Samuel Piette has been named official captain of CF Montreal, having worn the armband several times in recent seasons.
The club has some made the announcement during his season kick-off event on Tuesday night.
The defensive midfielder from Le Gardeur was co-captain with Victor Wanyama last season. The Kenyan and defender Kamal Miller will remain Piette's assistants.
“I am very proud of this title which indicates that I have the confidence of the club, the head coach and the players,” said he said in a press release. I want to continue to fulfill this role to the best of my abilities to continue to push this team in the right direction, achieve new goals and continue to make the fans proud of our team.”
Arrived at Montreal in 2017, Piette made 145 appearances in the Bleu-Blanc-Noir jersey, including 129 starts. CF granted him a three-year contract extension last October.
