Chandler Worthy renews his vows with the Alouettes

The marriage between kick returner Chandler Worthy and the Montreal Alouettes will continue for two more seasons.
On Wednesday, the Belle Province organization will is agreed on the terms of a contract extension with the man who could have become a free agent on February 14.
“I know Chandler well from having faced him several times and I can confirm that we have an electrifying player on our hands,” said Alouettes head coach Jason Maas in a press release.
In a single race, he can single-handedly change the outcome of a game. The opposing teams must be ready when he is on the field.
Worthy was signed by the Sparrows before the start of the 2022 season after the 29-year-old American was released by the Toronto Argonauts. It was the fourth time he suffered this fate in as many years with the Queen City club.
In Montreal, Worthy established himself as one of the best returners of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
He has also earned a nomination for the title of Most Outstanding Special Teams Player of the Tour in 2022.
“I found a place where I am accepted. It's been a long time since I was in an environment where people appreciate what I do. I feel at home with the Alouettes,” Worthy told Agence QMI after training in November.
The speedy footballer amassed 547 yards on 47 kickoff returns during the 15 games he played last year.
The Griffin, Georgia native also had two touchdowns on 51 kickoffs and had 1,220 yards.
In addition, the Alouettes have hired American wide receiver Keshunn Abram. The latter played three seasons, from 2019 to 2021, with the Kent University Golden Flashes.
