Charlevoix stormed by the tourists

Charlevoix prise d’assaut par les touristes

Residents of Charlevoix have the habit of seeing a large number of tourists marching through their area during the summer season, but they are still amazed at the amount of people who find themselves there this year.

“We did not expect such a traffic, that’s interesting”, admits the mayor of Baie-Saint-Paul, Jean Fortin.

The City has also had to put in place several measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 in the community and among tourists.

Several hand-washing stations have been installed along the main artery of the municipality. The marking on the ground also indicates the direction in which people must travel to keep a distance of two metres.
