À Frontignan, le chef élargit son empreinte gastronomique après le succès du In-Fine.

Grégory Doucey, chef and restaurateur recognized with numerous distinctions, continues his journey in muscatiere. In the five years since he has been based in Frontignan, he has accumulated recognition from his peers: two Gault toques & Millau, the Terroir d’Exception Occitanie 2022 trophy, as well as a BIB Gourmand Michelin, the last being the JRE Trophy (Young Restaurateurs of Europe) for sustainable gastronomy in its Frontignan restaurant “ In-Fine”.

New stage: Grégory and his wife Cécile take over the “MG” by Maxime Grau on the port of Frontignan. « At 40, I left metallurgy, explains Maxime,and I took over Le Carénage to make it the MG. Seven years later, with a lot of emotion and thanking my loyal customers, I hand over to Cécile and Grégory Doucey. A chapter is turning but the MG is passing into good hands and I am proud of this turn which is a continuation of what I tried to create in 2017. »

Two establishments in Frontignan

Cécile and Grégory are therefore in charge of the restaurant with their team: Mathieu, the executive chef in the kitchen, Marie who is half-chef de partie, Féfé in the dishwashing and kitchen assistant, Florian an apprentice, Kevin who is the maître d'& rsquo;hotel and Eva, the head waiter. Fans of the gourmet cuisine that they already enjoy at the In-Fine restaurant will find the signature of chef Grégory in the dishes served at MG by Cécile and Grégory. Grégory remains at the helm of both establishments with the same line of conduct which has succeeded at In-Fine, namely the excellence of products from finely selected suppliers and enhanced by the quality of the chef.

After eighteen years spent caring for elderly people in nursing homes, Cécile Doucey joined her husband and will manage the restaurant on the port. « It’s a nice challenge, she confides. Previously, I supported the team in the event of a big rush and in management. From now on, I am completely part of the adventure. »

The couple wishes to maintain the good-natured and friendly spirit that the MG had established among its regular customers: business leaders, tourists, port workers… Everyone benefits from the accessibility of the establishment and the free parking, the view of the port being the icing on the cake. Between interior, veranda and exterior, 120 seats are offered as well as a private lounge for exceptional meals.
