The Quebec government announced Friday the return to maximum capacity in all the network of educational childcare services to children from Monday.
Always covered by special measures to combat the COVID-19, the establishments located in Montreal, to Joliette, and the feast of The Epiphany will be their turn at their maximum capacity.
Child care services in family environment will also be able to accommodate the usual number of children.
The epidemiological situation has convinced the public health authorities to go ahead with this decision.
“This is great news for parents living in the regions most affected by the pandemic of the COVID-19”, said the minister of the Family, Mathieu Lacombe, Friday, by issuing a press release.
“The situation has stabilized and the Directorate-general of public health finds that the return to the usual number of children is possible. I invite, of course, the parents, the staff and the children to remain cautious and to follow the hygiene rules established”, the minister continued.
In colder areas, the childcare services are returned to their normal capacity on June 22.
