Coca-Cola rejoint le boycottage de la publicité sur les réseaux sociaux

SAN FRANCISCO | Coca-Cola, one of the best known brands in the world, which spends enormous sums in publicity, announced Friday it was postponing for at least 30 days for any promotion on all the social networks, because”there is no place for racism”.

“There is no place for racism in the world and there is no place for racism on social networks,” said James Quincey, the president and CEO of the global giant, in a very brief statement.

He demanded that the social networks that other brands have decided to boycott to force them to do more to remove the content that is hateful – that they should demonstrate greater “transparency and responsibility”.

Coca-Cola will make use of his break to “focus on [its] advertising strategies, and see if revisions are needed,” said Mr Quincey.
