College Football: damage to the hall of fame

Football collégial: dommages au Temple de la renommée

The hall of fame of college football, Atlanta has been damaged and looted on Friday night, during violent protests related to the death of George Floyd.

Police authorities have confirmed this information.

This Pantheon is to be found near the olympic park in downtown Atlanta.

Recall that George Floyd, an African-American, died Monday evening in Minnesota after the police officer Derek Chauvin was smothered with her knee. This tragedy brings into the foreground the discrimination regularly denounced by the visible minorities in the United States.

In a statement sent to the media, the executive director of the hall of fame, Kimberly Beaudin, confessed to having the “broken heart”, whilst being sensitive to the cause of George Floyd. The Pantheon is moved to South Bend, Indiana, to Atlanta in 2014.
