MONTREAL – A driver in his sixties has been seriously injured in a collision with a lorry occurred on the avenue Marien, in the east of Montreal, on Friday morning.
The accident occurred around 10 a.m., said Julien Levesque, a spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
The motorist was travelling northbound on avenue Marien and, for an unknown reason, his vehicle struck a truck that was travelling in the south direction.
The man was transported unconscious to a hospital, and the authorities feared for his life.
Investigators have been dispatched to the scene to analyze the scene and then attempt to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
The avenue Marien has been closed between the Metropolitan expressway and Henri-Bourassa boulevard.
