Raw milk goat cheese, sold in many supermarkets in France, is the subject of a massive recall this Tuesday, April 23 due to the presence of Listeria.

Be careful if you have recently purchased raw milk goat cheese. The government site Reminder Consoalert this Tuesday, April 23, about the presence of listeria, the bacteriological agent responsible for listeriosis, in several cheeses from the Fromagerie Blanc brand.

In the form of logs, droppings or even fresh pucks, around forty references are affected by this recall.

The contaminated cheeses were marketed throughout France between4 and April 9 in numerous supermarket brands, including Leclerc, Intermarché, Casino shop, Carrefour and the U.

In detail, are concerned for the lactic cheeses : Palet, Sauvaget, Fusette, Sainte-Maure, Crottin, Bûchette, Cobblestone, Wheel, Tricorn, Pyramid, Pictou, Arc, Flower of Japan, Chabis, Cabris, Tower, Heart. And for the fresh lactic cheeses: Crottin Frais Gâtinais, Gâtinais coupe.

These products are best found in the section section. They are packaged in wooden boxes or trays, under a modified atmosphere.

The batches affected by listeria contamination are the matured lactic cheese from batch 60 to 96, the fresh lactic cheese from batch 60 to 96 and the bloomy rind cheese from batch 60 to 96. All have a minimum durability date between April 29 and June 4.

What to do if you bought one of these products?

Recall Conso invites people who have consumed the products mentioned above and who have a fever, isolated or accompanied by headache and aches, to consult their doctor. The government site also recalls that "serious forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can also occur".
