Consumption: at Dénicheur, in Nîmes, a tasting to dispel a preconceived idea

The store fights the idea that a product is expired once the DLUO has passed.

For many people, a food product whose best before date
(DLUO) has passed is no longer edible. To combat this preconceived idea and remove any doubt,
the managers of Dénicheur, a clearance store that recently opened its doors in Nîmes,
organized a tasting evening on Friday, August 30.

Anti-waste

« A food product whose BBD has passed is perfectly edible, explains Loriane Arnac, co-manager of the brand. It is indicated on the packaging to consume preferably before and a date follows. Once this date has passed, some customers wrongly get rid of the product because it can be consumed perfectly. This evening, we are offering tastings of various products that fall into this category to dispel this preconceived idea. The approach has three advantages: showing that these products are good, the anti-waste aspect and the
prices that are smashed. It also serves as a continuous line for beers and wines that are there
all year round, with discounts of up to -70%. »

And to conclude: « Here, the only thing that doesn't change is the context: anti-waste and discount. » Customers appreciated the initiative. « There is a very friendly sharing aspect and we can see that these products are good. It's a
beautiful way to introduce them to us and make us appreciate them, recognize Fanny and David, from Nîmes, the last word
going to Natacha who came specially from Montpellier: « A beautiful moment to repeat ».
