It will be a cultural event, from April 5 to June 23. The first Contemporaine de Nîmes, a triennial exhibition of contemporary creation, has just unveiled its poster.

"It consists of a central element, a stone which resembles a Roman stele, on which is engraved a series of signs symbolizing current youth and the city of Nîmes&quot ;, describes the City of Nîmes in a press release. "The main idea underlying this unexpected association is that the city, renowned for its past and its iconic heritage, is also invested by young people, like the artists of this 1st edition and their works."

An emerging artist

It was the young Parisian designer Paulin Barthe who created the poster. The City has chosen an emerging artist, who expresses himself in the fields of arts, music, fashion, using various means of expression ( music, video, etc). 

The inaugural edition, presented from April 5 to June 23, 2024, will be structured around a major exhibition throughout the city, punctuated by numerous highlights and events, and brings together several dozen recognized and emerging artists from the French and international scene.
