Ten days after the revelations of “J.E” on the controversial expenses of the OCPM, Dominique Ollivier announced her resignation from the position of president of the executive committee of the City of Montreal.

However, this investigation has begun a few weeks ago when journalists Annabelle Blais and Dominique Cambron-Goulet obtained credit card statements from certain employees who spend the most within the City of Montreal.

“My colleagues realize that it is the OCPM that spends the most taxpayer money on the City’s credit cards. So, they made a request for access to information,” mentions the host of the J.E show, Félix Séguin.

A few days later, the investigation office obtained answers.

“The requests come back with a lot of redaction, but we understand that it is a question of restaurants, travel, furniture, $900 headphones, etc.”

By Subsequently, the OCPM would have tried to distract the journalists by summoning them to a meeting, according to Félix Séguin.

“A technique that is almost a century old to try to drown out the fish and avoid expenses,” says -il.
