Corey Schueneman remains with the CH

Defender Corey Schueneman signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Montreal Canadiens on Monday.
The 26-year-old hockey player will get $750,000 if he plays in the National League (NHL) or a salary of $275,000 in the American League. However, the Habs have clarified that the Michigan native will be entitled to a guaranteed sum of $350,000.

With the big club, Schueneman had two goals and four assists in 24 games last season. In a Laval Rocket uniform, he amassed 11 points in 32 regular season outings, adding four points in 15 AHL Calder Cup playoff games. He contributed to the success of the Canadian school club, which reached the semi-finals of the circuit.
The former Stockton Heat was never drafted into the NHL.
