Announced in January, the maritime connection between Sète and Majorca operated for the first time this Wednesday, April 10.

Last January, the shipping company Corsica Ferries announced the entry into service of two new lines from the port of Sète, one towards the Balearic Islands, the second towards the island of Beauty. This Wednesday, April 10 in the morning, a first Mega Express boat entered the port of Sète, coming from Alcúdia, on the island of Majorca. He left again a few hours later to make the reverse route. The next rotation between the two ports is scheduled for April 16 and 17.

The Balearic Islands until June, then Corsica

Passengers will for the moment have to make do with one return trip per week, compared to two for the port of Toulon, and reservations from Sète are only possible until & rsquo;in the month of June. In July, another line will appear, to connect Sète and L’Île-Rousse, in Corsica.
