Quebec added 15 more deaths related to COVID-19 to its latest report published Thursday morning.
Among these deaths, only one occurred over the past 24 hours, while 10 others occurred between two and seven days ago, and four others occurred more than a week ago.
Furthermore, the number of Quebecers hospitalized with COVID-19 continues to decline, and has been for just over a week. A total of 1,819 people occupy a hospital bed, including 594 due to COVID-19, a decrease of 40 from the previous day. Among them, 48 people are in intensive care, a figure also down (-4) compared to Wednesday.
Quebec also reported 573 new cases of COVID-19 which were recorded in testing centers in the province, and 35 positive tests were self-reported on Wednesday.
In addition, 2,182 health care workers are still absent from the network for reasons related to the virus, whether for preventive withdrawal, isolation or waiting for results.
