A COVID-19 screening clinic with “car service” opened its doors on Tuesday morning at the Paul-Gilbert Center in Charny.
The clinic will welcome patients with symptoms compatible with COVID-19 from 8h to 20h, seven days a week. Between 40 and 50 people per day can be received there. To be able to attend, you must have previously obtained an appointment by calling 811.
This auto screening service will also be offered in Saint-Georges, Thetford Mines and Montmagny in the coming days.
In addition, the Chaudière-Appalaches CISSS reduced its activities in its blood sampling centers in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Until Sunday, only urgent samples, samples required for follow-up (kidney problems, treatment for cancer, for example) and samples required for an imaging examination will be maintained.
“Users must go to their usual center. The establishment will quickly communicate with a user in the event that their appointment must be canceled or postponed. There is no need to call. If you have not been contacted, this is because your appointment is still taking place, ”says the CISSS on its Facebook page.
To date, four confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the Chaudière-Appalaches region.
