COVID-19: Help from Bandcamp to artists
Do you want new music and at the same time give a boost to musicians at this time when they are badly affected by the cancellation of their tours? It’s time to do it.
For one day, this Friday, March 20, the Bandcamp platform is renouncing its share of royalties and will pay all of the revenue from sales of online albums and derivatives to the creators concerned.
“With a major source of income dying almost completely, finding ways to continue supporting artists in the coming months is an urgent priority for anyone who cares about music and the artists who create it,” said Bandcamp co-founder Ethan Diamond.
