COVID-19: hospitalizations continue to melt

The number of patients with COVID-19 in Quebec hospitals has continued to fall for three weeks.  

According to the latest Health Report Quebec, there are 1569 hospitalizations linked to the virus, including 493 due to the latter. This is a decrease of 62 from the previous day. A decrease was also recorded in intensive care, with 27 beds occupied there (-8).

Unfortunately, there are 13 additional deaths. Two of them occurred between two and seven days ago while 11 occurred more than a week ago.

In the screening centers, 419 new infections were detected while 32 positive rapid tests were declared on the government platform.

In the health network, 2,081 workers are absent due to COVID-19, whether for preventive withdrawal, isolation or an expectation of results.
