COVID-19 in Quebec: further increase in hospitalizations


Quebec has reported an increase in hospitalizations related to COVID-19, but no new deaths in the past 24 hours. 

In total, the province has 1,549 people hospitalized Thursday, including 512 due to COVID-19, which represents an increase of nine people compared to Wednesday. In this figure, there are 36 people in intensive care (-1).

No new deaths have been recorded since Tuesday. Quebec, on the other hand, lists three additional deaths which occurred between two and seven days ago and 17 deaths which occurred more than seven days ago.

Quebec reports 929 new cases detected in screening centers, for 163 self-reported rapid tests returned positive.

Public Health reports 3,689 healthcare workers who are still absent for COVID-related reasons, i.e. for withdrawal prevention, isolation, waiting for results, etc.
