COVID-19: less than 1,500 hospitalizations in Quebec

Down since January 8, hospitalizations linked to COVID-19 continue to fall and fall below 1,500. 

Thus, 1,486 people patients with COVID-19 occupy a hospital bed, a decrease of 57 from the previous day. Of this number, there are 23 people in intensive care, a number unchanged since Monday.

Santé Québec has also added 13 deaths to its balance sheet, including 11 which occurred between two and seven days ago and two other deaths occurred more than a week ago.

In screening centers, 531 new infections were detected while 46 positive rapid tests were reported on the government platform.

In the health network, 2,027 workers are absent due to the virus, whether for preventive withdrawal, isolation or waiting for results.
